Turner Field is a new state of the art stadium, built originally to be the official stadium for the 1996 Summer Olympic Games in Atlanta. The opening and closing ceremonies as well as all of the track and field events in the ’96 Olympics were held there. After the Olympics, it was converted to Turner Field and is today
the home of the Atlanta Braves of Major League Baseball (MLB). Named after legendary Braves owner Ted Turner, “The Ted” is home to the Braves regular season games from April through September. Inside the stadium are the Braves Museum and the Braves Hall of Fame offering two exhibits about baseball immortal Hammering Hank Aaron. Both the Braves Museum and Turner Field are open year-round, even when the team is not in action. Turner Field offers something for baseball fans of all ages. |
